Even back in 1967, Waterloo Station was already filled with the hustle and bustle of busy commuters!
Waterloo Station was painted by the renowned railway artist Terence Cuneo and was his largest work of art, measuring 20ft by 10ft. Whilst painting the scene, Cuneo featured himself, his wife and daughter, and even a couple of politicians in the painting, including Harold Wilson being barked at by a bulldog!
In 2007, a bronze statue of Terence Cuneo was erected in Waterloo Station to commemorate the celebrated artist.
This 636 piece jigsaw puzzle is the same width as a standard 1,000 piece, but not as tall, creating a panoramic scene which is the perfect size for a coffee table! As with all Gibsons jigsaws, the beautifully illustrated pieces are made from the highest quality 100% recycled board and therefore a pleasure to work with again and again.
